This van has been a very reliable workhorse for our Charity and is still running well. It has been professionally maintained by Mechanix, our local garage. It has a set of nearly new tyres and a tow bar with working electrics. The inside of the van is ply lined with a bulkhead with window. The fuel gauge is intermittent but everything else works properly. The van has a tailgate rather than rear doors and the gas struts are fine.
Like all T4’s of this age, it is suffering from some corrosion as you can see from the pictures. If you search the MOT history you can find out what work has been needed to get it through its MOT each year: all these repairs have been done professionally. The bodywork has never been filled or repainted so the pictures show its honest condition. Mechanically it always starts first time, transmission, brakes and steering are all good, it cruises along nicely at 60 and is a pleasure to drive. Non-turbo, but still powerful enough to pull a heavily laden trailer. But perhaps it is time for it to be retired from hard graft and to be reborn as a classic camper van?
