We are reluctantly selling this vehicle following the loss of our father (we have had confirmation from solicitors that we can sell this vehicle and a copy can be shown along with a certified copy of death certificate (if sight of such documents are required)). Sadly we don’t have anywhere to store this or time to take on such a project.
On completion of sale we will notify the DVLA sensitive casework team with relevant logbook slip to ensure everything is done correctly for both ourselves and the buyer.
My father had owned this vehicle since May 1988 having bought it from Keith’s Garages Ltd (VW Main dealer at the time) with 1 former keeper.
It was his trusted work vehicle for many many years and you will see it has over 450,000 miles on the clock. He did, however have a new engine put in from Volkswagen, but we cannot say at what mileage or year. It also had a reconditioned gearbox.
You will see from looking at the number plate it hasn’t been MOTd since 2017 and is on a SORN. It has been stored outside on the drive since this time.
The vehicle does start, but you will need a trailer to take away as obviously has not been on the road for many years and as the last MOT was back in 2017 it will need a lot looking at and re MOTd before driving.
This really does need to be looked upon as a project and for someone who is happy to spend time and money on it to get it back to the classic that it is.
Viewings would be at weekends or after 6.30pm weekdays only (by arrangement) at a village outside of Aylesbury/Oxford. HP18
The hubcaps shown in some of the photos are not included in the listing.
There is also a spare sliding panel van door which can be included in the sale (not new). This can be seen at time of any viewings.
