This is my own (registered to me) Mercedes Spinter Luton box van, 211 CDI Mwb in silver. One previous owner, a small bespoke kitchen company.
I bought this from Bell Truck and Van, Stockton in June 2015, they supplied it new to the kitchen company and took it back in part x. It had full MB service history and had been there for everything down to a number plate bulb. I have the print out from MB.

This is undoubtably the most genuine and authentic van of its age you will ever find, to my knowledge it has never had an accident or a single panel replaced. Clutch, gearbox, engine, exhaust etc is all original, all I’ve changed is the original MB battery.
I think it had about 90k on it when i bought it and in 9 years I’ve run it upto 170k, and I’ve had it serviced whenever the dash computer has told me until this year.
The box is composite so does not rust, is super tough and will not dent. Rear roller shutter door with a large steel step below.
Ive used it to transport sofas for my business, and its been a great asset. Smart, comfy, a gret image for a businees in classy silver, never looks dirty. All I’ve done with it is travel to the Midlands, load up and bring it back. Now the business is about done i have regrettably decided to sell it. In the last couple of years its barley done 2-3k miles so cant justify keeping it. I have a Transporter too so just use that now.
its MWB but the back it still 11’+ long then the extra above the cab. I used to get 8-9 3str sofas stood on end and then 3x 2strs against the roller door. can also get several 4.8 mt joists inside and close the door.
Im auctioning it, 10 day listing, highest bid gets it, simple. Cash on collection please from YO7 Thirsk area.
It’s been a great van to me and never let me down. The condition for its age and milage is very very good, it has a few scuffs to the body as you’d expect but this is not your usual eye sore of a Luton, i have looked after it and never abused it. I haven’t seen one as good as this, ever. Put a cheap private plate on it and it would pass as a 2016/17 van easily.
electric windows and mirrors, airbag, CD player, NO cruise or Aircon.
returns about 24-25mpg, no oil leaks, 6 months MOT left. 2 keys, service booklets etc. Ive also had the electronic steering lock removed as they can be a massive problem. Mercedes Chasis is solid, hardly any rust, still bright silver.
I have seen these with nearly 500k on, apparently this model of engine is bullet proof and so simple, theres little to go wrong
It does have a few things to mention,
the cab doors are a little rusty at the bottoms, i did buy a new-used drivers door but never got round to fitting it so thats included. Standard really for its age
The gear box doesnt like 1st or 2nd gear when you first start it up from cold, run it throught 3rd and 4th before you put it into 1st and its ok. Once warmed through it all works fine, been like that for years and never worsened.
Both wing mirror indicators are damaged but they work, new lenses are about £15 each.
Its over due a service on time by 6 months but not on milage, I’m leaving it as you will want to service it anyway.Passed its MOT in Jan no problems, just an advisory that the rear drivers brake caliper is dragging but it still passed. It was fine with a couple of trips to the Midlands, took it to London last week and it dragged on and off a fair bit. This is due to lack of use, when it sits around the brakes rust over sadly. May need a caliper. other than that a 500 mile trip to London and back was faultless.
rear step needs a paint and the fibreglass roof has come unstuck from the side to side alloy bearers, it needs sticking back down with mastic to stop it rattling, easy job but needs 2 people really.
rear tires are recently new, fronts have maybe 3-4mm left.
Im hoping it will have a nice life getting converted into a camper van as it would be ideal for that.
Cash on collection only, no bank trans or paypal.
I will finish the listing tomorrow and add up more pictures so please do not bid until its finished as i wont be able to add the info.
On 16-Jul-24 at 08:47:43 BST, seller added the following information:Service booklet shows 5x Mb services, 3x small garage services, last one at 163k in Dec 21, so only done 7k in 3+ years. Now I have checked it had 108k on the clock when i bought it from MB. I have 5-6 old Mot’s here, the original print out from new and the invoice from when i purchased it, there is no VAT to add or pay. I have the V5C with my name on it. I have a replacement door for the drivers side if you want it. The internal box dimensions are 360cm long x 205cm wide x 218cm tall + the over cab that would make a great bed area. Sorry the mirrors are not electric, my mistake. The windows are. everything works in the cab area.
