Jiffy truck from 2003 for sale. We’ve used this van up until April. It had developed a fault causing excess smoke from the exhaust. According to our garage it is more than likely a faulty turbo. We have had this van since 2012 but it had been sitting in our garage until 2017 when out other van had an accident and we’ve started to use this one. It had been serviced before every MOT. We have receipts to prove this. Also everything had been changed for MOTs. Other than this in the last 2-3 years it had a new alternator, new steering wheel rack and new clutch and dual mass flywheel and a new rear silencer. Brake pads, tyres and all usual ball joints, exhaust bits etc… have been changed when it was needed. Bad bits: The van is drivable, it starts and engine runs but we were advised by the garage not to drive it because possible oil deposit in the turbo might cause a diesel engine runaway so we’ve had this transferred to our unit on a recovery truck. Driving it on and off a recovery truck is no issue.Fridge works as it should but we’ve removed the oven heater (Eberspacher D4) since it was a relatively new unit. All the wiring is it place so it can be easily replaced with a like for like unit just plug and play. The control unit and all the wiring, fuel pump etc… is in place.Radio needs a code. We’ve had an aftermarket radio in never used the original one we bought it without a code.There is a melody horn but you might need a new pump for this as it work intermittently. All wiring and horns are in place. It is the more expensive Italian FIAMM make not the all plastic knock offFinally ever since the clutch was done by a local van specialist somehow it is not what it’s used to be. Can’t explain any better it’s not as smooth as it was before, but the clutch itself is fairly new. Just wanted to disclose this for clarity. All in all this is an old van. Served us right for at least 7 ears day in day out. We’ve changed on it whatever was needed but after the last fault we have decided to buy something newer. It would be ideal for someone who can either fix it for themselves or use it for spares for a similar van. Any inspection is welcome. Please message me to arrange this.
